Founder Liz Reid has had fifteen plus years experience in global textile research and development in the apparel industry.  Along my path in fashion,  I worked in home furnishing development as well as on various interior design projects.  Melding a successful career in fashion and a love of interiors, color development and travel, Upstage Interiors, a premier home staging and redesign company was created.  Moving from a career in fashion to interiors  was a natural progression.  I am fortunate to have been able to take my skills and experiences and continue working with textiles, patterns and color in home staging and redesign.

After graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology, F.I.T. in New York, I began my career in fabric research and development. For the next 15 years I had the honor of working along side many talented designers in the apparel industry for such companies as Carmelo Pomodoro, Oscar de la Renta, Anne Klein and Ellen Tracy. My position as Director of Textile Research and Development included not only working with amazing design and production teams, but with textile mills globally. My travels have taken me all across Asia and Europe working directly with major textile mills in all facets of textile development and production, as well as attending all major textile fairs sourcing and shopping the latest trends. "I always loved the challenge of taking "couture" priced fabrics and garments and translating to affordable price points for the highest return on the dollar". Utilizing my resourcefulness, creativity and talent, my experience in fashion has strongly influenced my interior home staging and redesign philosophy.

In home staging and redesign, I truly believe every home can be beautiful regardless of size and price.  I want your home to feel luxurious, welcoming, warm and authentic.  You do not always have to spend a lot to make your home feel special and attractive.  I believe in merchandising any home as economically as possible.  I like to start with what you currently own and only when needed supplement additional investment accessories and furniture rentals.
